STOMPer Derrickchan is angered by a tweet left by a Singaporean girl, in which she said that James Holmes, who killed 12 people and injured 58 others in a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado, USA, has 'cute' hair. She is not the only woman who tweeted that they found the killer attractive.
Other Twitter users who saw these women's comments retorted by saying their comments were 'disgusting' and that 'people like this should be locked up TOO!'. Others commented these women's tweets were 'sickening', 'abhorrent human beings' and 'morally bankrupt'.
Said the STOMPer:
"Singaporean girl glorifies murderer after Dark Knight massacre.
"This Singaporean girl's tweets have been published on an online news source.
"The comment she made saying that the murderer's hair is cute and she likes it, is upsetting many people.
"She gave rude remarks to people who are trying to stand up for justice and just saying how they feel towards her comment.
"Many innocent people died because of the murderer.
"What do you think of this 'BONNIE' girl?"
The Singaporean girl said in her tweet, "James Holmes' hair quite cute. Me LIKE ^^," while other women tweeted the killer "is kinda hot", "kinda cute" and even "sexy".
STOMP understands that hybristophilia is when women are physically attracted to people who have committed particularly heinous crimes. It is also known as the 'Bonnie and Clyde' syndrome, with which the STOMPer refers to the Singaporean girl as 'Bonnie'.
Bonnie and Clyde were a real-life couple in history who committed crimes like bank robberies and murders. Their story also caught the attention of the media and their story made it to films, music, theatre and modern pop culture.
The shooting happened on July 20 at a midnight showing of the latest Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, at a theatre in Aurora, Colorado, USA. The gunman, 24, was a graduate student at the University of Colorado, Denver, studying for a Ph.D. in neuroscience. He was dressed in black and he randomly opened fire on the audience. One of the deceased was a six-year-old girl.

The people who tweet that she should be locked up to need to grow up. I'm not defending her but the next time you make a mistake by typing something online I guess you should be locked up in jail too right?
