Sight of underage smokers along Orchard Road 'a worry'

The sight of two teenagers smoking along Orchard Road alarmed STOMPer kel.

The STOMPer wrote:

"It is very worrying that there are a number of underage smokers now, especially after I saw these two boys smoke so openly in public along Orchard Road.

"The police should step up to apprehend people who sell them cigarettes, or improve the enforcement on such underage offenders.

"What values are adults instilling into these minors?

"We must teach them the proper values and ethics now, before the majority of minors start straying and become detrimental to the future."

Worry? Worry for what? If they like to smoke let them be. And if they don't have enough to smoke buy some more cigarettes for them to smoke lah

It saddens me to see that state Singapore is in now. I see many internet thugs scolding vulgarities at others online.

In my view, these are the losers in our society and these losers probably have poor upbringing. They probably have loser parents as well.

It might be politically incorrect for young to smoke in public or private, but it's their own lives.

Let them be. Our children has enough of must be politically correct mind set.
