STOMPer Tushar was driving along Dhoby Ghaut when a lorry cut into his lane suddenly, almost causing a accident if not for the light traffic. The driver had to swerve to avoid the lorry.

"I was driving along Dhoby Ghaut back from Clarke Quay to pick my friend up when this lorry suddenly cut into my lane.
"My car was slightly behind it and such action was only possible if the driver didn't bother to keep a proper lookout or didn't care about road safety.
"When we both came to a stomp at the traffic light further down the road, I turned to take a look and saw that it was a foreign driver who gave me a smug and arrogant look.
"I did some research and realised that there foreign drivers did not have to sit for our local driving test and could just convert their foreign licence to a local one.
"This is highly disturbing as my Chinese friends told me that there were many cases of people passing their driving test even without meeting the requisite standards.
"Thankfully, I had a car camera installed. Traffic conditions were also light so I could swerve into the third lane to escape from hitting the lorry or getting hit.
"If we were to collide, I think there would be a high risk of injury and I might end up paying substantial damages as well even though I am innocent.
"I hope the authorities would do more to curb errant drivers like this."
