An eyewitness heard a scream on Tuesday evening that came from the carpark at Block 233 Choa Chu Kang Central. Looking out her window, she saw a maid who was pulling her luggage and carrying a small, naked boy.
According to a report in The New Paper, the maid was walking around in circles in the carpark, screaming at about 7.30pm. Then she fell slowly backwards onto the road, still clutching the baby across her chest.
A car almost hit the maid and toddler, and the boy started crying. About 10 people then gathered around the maid and a woman, who looked like she was in her 40s, picked up the baby and went towards one of the blocks.
The maid was caught by a man and his son, who were the maid's neighbours. The maid kept struggling violently, kicking, punching and biting, while she kept screaming in her own language that she wanted to go to the airport to return to her country.
