New York bodybuilder Gregg Valentino once claimed to have the world's biggest biceps at 28.3 inches around. But his grossly oversized arm 'exploded' from the strain.
Greg eventually turned to steroids in a bid to bulk up, and injected the drugs straight into his arms. He got careless and started using old, dirty needles which led to an infection.
His left arm developed a haematoma, where blood collects outside the muscle and his bicep ballooned with fluid. He ended up having to undergo emergency surgery. To save his arm, surgeons cut into his much-prized muscle, leaving the arm deformed with a massive scar.
As a a result of dealing in steroids, Greg was arrested and lost his houses, cars, and his gym. His wife also left him. His outlook changed in 2009 after his daughter told him he was used as the example of steroid abuse at her school. He no longer encourages steroid use.

He abused using Synthol which is a chemical used to increase the size of a particular muscle (depending on where you applied it), but only by vascularity, no strength, no hardness, just like a a balloon. He injects more synthol to see how big his arms could be, until it exploded.
