Ladies beware: How you can tell if there's a hidden camera in a room

STOMPer Alex shares tips on how to detect a hidden camera in a room. A smoke detector, mirror, or even painting can contain a concealed camera.

"How do you detect a hidden camera in trial rooms?

"In front of the trial room, take out your mobile phone and make sure that phone can make calls. Upon entering the trial room, try to make a call with your mobile.

"If you cannot make a call, there is a hidden camera somewhere! This is due to the interference of fibre optic cable during the signal transfer.

"There are some special places where hidden cameras are usually placed. Check these spots when entering a hotel or a new apartment.

"A smoke detector is the most ideal place to hide a hidden camera.

"You wouldn't even think that the smoke detector present in your room is actually watching you!! People never think about it.

"Electrical outlets/plug sockets is also another ideal place because most of the time, people do not use every single electrical socket in a hotel room.

"Clocks, lamps, radio, artifical plants, air purifier, paintings etc: You need to be very careful with them. They may have a concealed camera around them.

"Behind the wall mounted mirrors: Mirrors can also 'watch' you. Don't think that only you can see yourself in the mirror. The mirror present in your room may also have 'eyes'.

"How to detect a two-way mirror?

"When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms etc, how many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a two-way mirror?

"They can see you, but you can't see them. There have been cases of people installing two-way mirrors in female changing rooms, bathrooms or bedrooms.

"It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine the type of mirror we are looking at?

"Conduct this simple test: Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.

"This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass.

"Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel rooms.

"Share this with your sisters, wife, daughters, friends, colleagues, etc to protect the integrity of all girls and ladies."
