Commuter on priority seat ignores pregnant lady standing next to her

STOMPer Ah noticed that an able-bodied commuter, who was sitting on a priority seat on the train, was so engrossed with her mobile phone that she did not give up her seat to the pregnant lady next to her.

Said the STOMPer:

"I boarded the train at Serangoon MRT station today (June 28), at about 9.30am.

"There were no seats available, and this pregnant woman was standing.

"The commuter who was seated literally kept her eyes on her phone, ignoring the pregnant lady beside her.

"After about three or four stops, someone seated on the opposite side gave up their seat for the pregnant lady."

Aiyoh..... Pregnant means must sit meh?

There's never been any cases of miscarriage in Singapore caused by transportation.

So fat only grannies are involved (Taxi lah, bus lah, car lah - you name it). Maybe these Grannies sat too much during their pregnancies. Haha.

She is engross with something so how could she have notice? You on the other hand can tell her to give up the seat right? If she refuse that's another story

Maybe the girl really never notice, cuz the lady was standing 180 degrees next to her and was too close.
The person seated opposite the lady should have a clearer view.
