Woman allegedly linked to sex-for-contracts case described as 'tall and vivacious'

One of the women allegedly linked to a sex-for-contracts corruption case has been identified as 36-years-old Ms Cecilia Sue Siew Nang, and is described by friends as a 'tall and vivacious' woman.

She is still a senior sales manager at technology firm Oracle Corporation Singapore, where she began working around November last year. Ms Sue has been implicated in the probe involving former Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) chief, Ng Boon Gay. The court heard yesterday that Ng allegedly obtained sexual favours from her on four occasions in return for his help to 'further the business interest' of her bosses.

The first two instances occurred between June and November last year when she was a sales manager at technology Hitachi Data Systems (HDS). The other two incidents were believed to have taken place in December after she moved to Oracle.

HDS is said to be a sub-contractor in CNB's IT-tender, although it was not directly awarded any contracts by the agency. It was believed that Oracle had no IT-related dealings with the CNB during Ng's tenure as head of the bureau between February last year and his suspension on Feb 25, 2012.

Sources close to Ms Sue said that she did not see any reason to leave her current job as she has done no wrong. A close friend who has kept in touch with her since news of the case broke out said:

"She is doing fine and considering her options."

Ms Sue has been married for 13 years to a businessman who is a director of five companies here. She has a one-year-old child and lives in a condominium in central Singapore. She was educated at a local polytechnic and an Australian university. Although charge sheets stated that the alleged trysts between Ng and Ms Sue, both married, took place over a period of six months, the duo are said to have been close since 2009.

Ng arrived at the Subordinate Courts yesterday with his wife who says she stands by her man.

Now everything in singapore is money. These ladies use their body to gain benefits, even fresh degree holders have difficulties earning a decent income. In singapore in order to have a decent comfortable life you really need a high salary, and lets say you are a average staff in this certain company. How many years must you work to achieve that kind of pay especially singapore is flooded with so many so call foreign talents. So these ladies have no choice but to use to body as a tool to achieve that, and guys would just gladly take advantage of this. I do agree that it may be a disgrace to the ladies family and our top offical doesn't have the right moral too. Yes true he may not be corrupt but for sure he doesn't have the right moral

She said she had done no wrong.

Really?
Ask her husband.
Tell her child (now 1 year old) when her child grown up.
See if they agree with her.
