So reckless of driver to cut into lane from behind while jamming on his brakes

A driver suddenly cut into STOMPer catchnottidrivers's lane from behind and jam-braked along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5. This almost caused the STOMPer to get into an accident.

Wrote the STOMPer:

"Filtering to the left lane to exit at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 invited this dangerous act from this driver.

"I guess the driver was trying to overtake a lorry.

"The arrogant guy had to come from behind on my left and he jammed his brake while filtering to the lane my vehicle was travelling on.

"What a road bully.

"Our traffic police should be taking this guy off the road so he can't harm other motorists."

honestly dude you are kicking yourself in the ass with this video.. it seems this guy was trying to get to the middle lane by overtaking the lorry and you cut him off by going left (probably without signaling and giving way to the guy), hence the retaliation..

honestly people like you shouldn't be on the road.. get a life or go public...

catchnottidrivers,

From the video, it seems like you are filtered left straight after the blue cab on your left passed you. I am guessing that at this point in time, the guy's car may have filtered right to be behind the blue cab. I do agree it seemed like he did it purposely, but i am curious to why did he do it to you purposely and not other drivers (he was on the 4th lane initially while you are on the 2nd lane)? Did you filter left into the 3rd lane without signaling hence causing him to jam brake, which is why he was angry and decide to give you a taste of your own medicine?

ishtarsg, let me ask u.
Does a good driver break while in the middle of the lane and when his vehicle is within a car length? The car in front of him is at least 5 car length away ok?

A graceful driver would at least on right signal right? So I guess he did it purposely. To show off his car to me as mine is a small one.

Those interested can see the video here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLMw_DY3IHU

Where got road hogged? My oso private vehicle and was behind a van (road hogging one at 60km/h on 2nd lane) before filtering to 3rd lane to exit. But it was scary as this guy happy happy jam break while filtering into other's lane. But I think he did it purposely. He was trailing behind a lorry (see beginning of video) and I might have provoked him as I was filtering left to exit and he was filtering right to overtake the lorry in front of him.

Whatever it is, he shouldn't have done that. My whole family (4x) in the car then. We could had been injured seriously ... given the speed of 78km/h.

Try not to put thing on car dashboard, reflex will mess up your cam recording(not clear) worst under bright sun and night vision.
