Bukit Panjang condo resident's car gets wheel-clamped 'for no reason'
STOMPer ChinEk was left bewildered by a decision by the estate management to clamp his car inside a condominium in Bukit Panjang 'without any warning'.
According to the STOMPer, he was given a visitor's parking slip but got his vehicle clamped still.
The STOMPer wrote:
"I am a resident staying at the Cashew Heights condominium.
"My car was clamped with no warning at all.
"The management refused to unclamp my car unless I paid $107 as the unclamping fee.
"They allowed me to take a visitor's parking slip yet they still clamped my car.
"Not trying to sound unreasonable but how can they clamp with no reason at all?"

You then try to justify your actions by saying that there are many empty lots and you are not inconveniencing others -this is not relevant and provides for a lousy excuse.
While you're at it, please look yourself in the mirror and reflect upon your deeds seriously and ask yourself if you have brought this upon yourself.
firstly..
I believe you did not tell them that your cheque had bounced when you made the payment..
Also not to mention that your household has your unit leased out..
Please dont make this any harder for yourself..
Such details should not be leaked out less the whole condo knows that you are trying to skip the fees payment and enjoy the facilities the rest are paying for..
Now they are doing their job by clamping your car.
Then you want them to be more flexible.
And you agreed you are abusing the system.
Very contradicting leh!
You are a resident there doesn't mean you can park any amount of car you have. Does that mean that I got 5 family member, I'm eligible to park 5 cars? If the rules state that you have to buy season parking for each car, than jolly well buy the season parking. You deserved what you got for abusing/testing their system. Don't complaint!
Guess I can understand ur predicament a little better with ur explanations.
Do agree e management could exercise some flexibility in ur case.
Maybe u could offer to pay a HDB season parking rate for ur (4th) car which
1. Prevents nearby residents from abusing a free-rider situation as it's no longer free.
2. Give them justifications to fend off other residents who pay e same maintenance fee but do drive or have lesser no of calls.
