STOMPer Zephyr was walking home last night (July 11) at around 9.30 pm at Cashew Road when he spotted a car burning at the roadside. An ambulance arrived at the scene but the injured driver wanted his car to be saved first instead.
The STOMPer wrote:
"I was walking home after getting off bus 75 at Cashew Road when I spotted three men standing on the road divider and heard them talking with panic in their voices.
"I then realised that a car was burning at its bonnet.
"I stopped to take a picture. No one appeared to be badly hurt.
"I hurried along the divider a few metres down after I heard a couple of small explosions.
"I managed to get a picture of the burning car before an ambulance arrived at the scene.
"One of the men who had a slight bruise on his forearm said he need not seek treatment because he was okay, he wanted the car to be saved instead.
"The SCDF then arrived and started to put out the fire.
"I left as smoke started to engulf the area."
An SCDF spokesperson said:
"A call was received at 9.52 pm informing us of a fire at Cashew Road near Block 133.
"An ambulance, a fire engine and a Red Rhino was dispatched to the location.
"Upon arrival, the fire involving a car was extinguished quickly by one 9kg dry powder extinguisher and a water mist gun.
"No one was injured.
"The cause of fire is still under investigation."

To him, living in Sg seems really stressful n pathetic!
Sympathize him.
He came out of his car n a passerby shouted at him, " u are bleeding badly".
Ignoring the passerby, the driver cried out, " my BMW! my BMW!
Then the passerby told him, " hey, in fact, your left arm is missing!"
And the driver shouted," my Rolex! My Rolex!"
